CouchDivers V0.7 Is Here!


Our final build for the end of our last development sprint. We have not been able to implement everything that we planned to implement, which is due to the lack of communication and work from some team members.

Due to frustration because of this, I do not have the energy nor the willingness to make GIF's for todays blog post. So instead here's the full changelist.

  1. Added in a visual shield effect
  2. Improved movement and controlls
  3. Offscreen indicator that tracks players off screen
  4. Camera shake
  5. The glove now spawns to your hand when used to indicate the pickup is active
  6. Some minor bug fixes
  7. A few edittor things have been fixed/removed/adjusted to make our lives a bit easier
  8. Lots of particles/effects for example, speed particles to give more of a feeling of "falling"
  9. The storm has been updated to look nicer and more logical
  10. Grab attack will now grab where you grabbed
  11. Animations had a slight update but are still unfinished
  12. Values have been tweaked to obstacle spawner so there are alot more obstacles now
  13. Players now have lives if they run out of lives they stop spawning

For our next sprint, we jump into the polishing stage of our development. We will no longer add more features, we will only improve our current features. This is mostly added effects and the addition of a main menu and an end game scene.
