I'm still here! Dev Log 4

Progress

So the games development went a bit slower past few weeks, as I was busy with other things in life. But don't worry I have not given up yet! Next week you can hopefully expect a new playable version. With 60 levels ready to be played. The final version was planned to have 100 levels, so expect the final update to land somewhere after that.

What has been done

So again, not much time has been put into last 2 weeks towards development due to other things in life I had to attend to. But that doesn't mean I didn't do anything off course! The first level pack Basic Traveling is complete with its 20 levels and the hints system now fully works (apart from a limitter to how many hints you can have).

Priorities

My priotity right now is to design all the levels. In order to make that a little easier for me, I decided to draw all the levels on paper, before actually building them in my custom edittor. However, thinking of new levels sometimes takes really long due to lack of inspiration, and forcing ideas out of my head will result in a headache and pretty bad level design, and I don't want that! This is why next version won't have all levels yet, simply because it's the one process that takes a really long time to get done.

Release Date

Yes! That's rigth! I have to release Vector Light at some point don't I? Now while I don't have a confirmed date yet, the release of Vector Light will take place in August. That is my main goal for the release, this version will contain all the mechanics I originally planned, including the level edittor for those who want to make their own levels, and 100 levels seperated in 5 official level packs! And all this for the price of... NOTHING Vector Light started as a free game, and it will stay a free game!
